Imperative has completed 25 years of ministry, so he got a cookie! (Actually, he hasn't gotten it yet because he's our daughter, Laura's, dog, and she needs to bring him over for it!)
Anyway... yes, we have just celebrated 25 years of full-time ministry. It all started with a Sunday School class I taught back in 1993. It grew rapidly when other churches began inviting us to present the material for them. This actually wasn't our plan! We thought we were
headed back to South Africa as full-time missionaries. God had other plans...
By the mid 90s, we formalized our ministry as a PA corporation, and became a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Several years later, I wrote the CURRICULUM. This was the first of its kind on the market. Several years later, due to requests for recordings of the sessions, we enlisted the help of my brother, John, and added seven VIDEOS of these core sessions. Later on, we added three more - one on Grand Canyon, Spiders, and a "quiz game". After this we added the
Ranger Mike VIDEO SERIES for kids ages 4-12. Our "Chinese virus" year project was the production of two ACTIVITY BOOKS that go hand-in-hand with the corresponding Ranger Mike DVDs. These are all the tangible products we've added over the years besides the Tuesday e-mails and the two
safaris.
