Having caught the Chinese COVID-19 virus late last year, I accepted the PA Blood Bank's urgent request for me to donate blood plasma so they can get the antibodies for patients who are hospitalized with it. To date, I've donated 12 units during three visits. One of the nurses stated, as she picked up the bags during my last visit, "This is pure gold!"
I learned something amazing from the donor advocate. She told me that there will come a day, perhaps late this year, when the antibodies will have left my system since they apparently don't last very long. When I asked her about the possibility or being re-infected, she told me a series of astounding aspects about our immune system, and I want to share it with you (to the best of my ability) because it
demonstrates design, almost beyond belief, as opposed to the "random luck" of evolution.
Here goes - in the simplest of terms: In your blood, there are "scouts" that know what should be there, and what shouldn't. (That alone is amazing - How do they "know" what's good or what's bad? Design, of course!) So, the scouts discover an object, like the one pictured above, and instantly know that it's not supposed to be there. The alien object is immediately scrutinized, and a "photo" is
taken of its structure and make-up. The scout takes this information back to headquarters, where it is analyzed. A structure (let's call this part a "soldier") is made to specifically target and destroy the alien object. Copies of this soldier are then produced in vast quantities, and released into the blood stream. When an offender is discovered that exactly matches the model of the alien, the soldiers destroy it. This is essentially how the immune system works.
Now, if that isn't design, nothing is! But, it doesn't stop there! Next week, we'll see what happens next....
