Hi
,
This is just a quick thought, more to myself, but I thought you might like to hear it...
The other day, I passed the drivers' examination center. If you have a driver's license, you've been there, too. Do you remember the day you took your road test with the examiner next to you? You were on your PERFECT behavior! I mean, you didn't ooze at all at stop signs. You drove at least one MPH below the speed limit. You looked in your mirror consistently. You used your turn signals perfectly. You
had your cell phone off, and probably the radio, too. You stopped at yellow lights...
Or (and I know you've all been here!), you know what goes through your mind when you see a cop right behind you while you're driving. You're perfect again, just like when you took your test. The presence of "the law" makes us all immediately obey to the endth degree, because we know what will happen if we don't!
So, I have to ask myself: If I could see Jesus right beside me, or behind me, and I actually could SEE Him, would I even be tempted to commit the "sins that so easily beset" me, let alone actually succumb to them? The issue is, though - HE IS THERE!
