Hi ,
What do these strange shapes below look like to you? They remind me of some sort of monsters. And that's not without reason. These formations, and hundreds more similar to them, are found in a remote place in Utah called "Goblin Valley State
Park". When you walk through this weird valley, many such "faces" stare out at you as you walk past.
That's why I chose this place for the setting of our next Ranger Mike video entitled, "The Mystery in Goblin Pass". As you read this, my brother (John) and I have just arrived here to work on this project for the next two
weeks. Actually, not only this one, but also the remake of our video on the flood called, "The Horror of the Flood". Please pray for us for good weather, good health, and creativity as we work through the scripts.
These formations are all leftover remnants from drainage after the flood. These strange formations are made from various sedimentary layers, some of which are harder than others, so as they wore down when they were all still somewhat saturated
with water, they formed into these shapes. There are large areas of this valley that look like goblins all wearing hats. The place used to be called "The Valley of Mushrooms", and they look a lot like that, but I suppose that the use of the word "goblins" instead gives the area a bit more mystique, and brings in more tourists!
Anyway, Lord-willing we'll have these two videos ready by early in 2021.
