Here's a cool little gift from God in the middle of the mess we're all going through. I hope you enjoy this...
Three days ago I noticed a dead groundhog in our back yard. When I picked it up to dispose of it in the woods, I noticed that it had been completely gutted. I wondered if a hawk had gotten it. An hour or two later, just after Carrie and I left our house to go
for a walk, we saw an adult fox running in the open grass beyond the woods. A few moments later, we saw a baby fox peering out at us from the brush. Then, there were four! Furthermore, we discovered that their den is in our back yard! Now, it's become the talk of our community!
I thought you might like to see some of the pictures so far. I got a trail camera as a gift this last Christmas, and the link below is my first attempt to use it. Some of the settings were wrong, so I didn't capture as much as I had hoped, but this will give you an
idea, for now. We've discovered that there are six of them. There are day shots as well as night-time scenes. By the way, the mother retrieved the groundhog from where I had thrown it. You can see them "working" on it.
We are delighted that God allowed this little glimpse of His creation to be so close to us! And, we're learning more about foxes than we ever knew before. I'll share some of that with you later...
