Why is the toilet paper gone in virtually every store over this last week? Because of the frenzy whipped up by the media. People seem to love bad news! They're fascinated by it. They thrive on it. And the media is happy to provide it. And since we now have many 24/7 news outlets, all of them vying for your attention, negative news pounds us, day after day, hour after hour. Currently, it’s the
coronavirus. And this to the point of creating almost mass hysteria. A news report yesterday talked about fights at grocery stores over TP, bottled water, and...whatever else!
I'm not making light of the current coronavirus situation (serious as it is, but tiny as it actually is compared to the world population). What I AM fascinated with, however, is the "doom and gloom" media coverage and the mass "panic" generated by it.
Society accepts evolution without question (and the general media supports it wholeheartedly) but laughs at the creation account, or biblical prophecies like the rapture. So, given how the masses are responding to this current virus situation, can you imagine what the response from the general public is going to be when literally millions of people suddenly disappear from the earth at the
rapture? Every country will be immediately effected. There will indeed be panic and everyone at that time will become very religious since any and all explanations will have serious religious overtones. 24/7 media will, of course, add dramatically to the panic. Society will crumble, and people will be looking for a leader to reassure them, to comfort them, and to guide them. This will immediately pave the way for the Beast and his false prophet!
You know the rest of the story....
