There is a major change for next year, not in the itinerary but in the starting and ending locations. For 11 years we have begun the trip in Las Vegas and ended it there. However, the Raiders are moving to Vegas and are building a brand new stadium just 3 blocks from our hotel, and due to all of the changes (price, clientele, etc.) we can no longer do this. Indeed, virtually every hotel in the entire area has had to adjust to this
change.
So, we are starting the safari in St. George, Utah, and ending it in Phoenix, Arizona. This will actually benefit the trip in several ways. First, it will get us out of Las Vegas, a place many of us find depressing - for obvious reasons. Second, it will give us a longer day in Zion National Park, something we have always wished we could do. Third, it allows us to ad Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona to our last day. This will be a trial run of these new
plans and we think it will actually improve the trip significantly.
This entire area is the world's best "classroom" for the global flood and its aftermath. Not only is the evidence very stark, but it also an incredibly beautiful area - a photographer's paradise! We visit 7 national parks plus a lot of other sites!
