Hi ,
Many of you have asked about the segment of our Ranger Mike videos called “Level Three”. That segment always begins when I (as Ranger Mike) make a statement that an evolutionist would disagree with, or at least have a negative reaction to. When that happens, an alarm sounds, and I am whisked away down a shaft into a dark and dreary storeroom. I am bound and gagged, and an interrogation light swings over my head as mist, or smoke,
fills the air. Around me, signs indicate that the “official view” is the only one allowed, and that there are to be “no questions asked”, etc. Once I pull the gag off, I explain why I was sent here, and why I disagree with the evolution view. Once I state what the truth is, the handcuffs fall off and I am whisked back to where I had been. This is a way to break into the script to do something different to make a specific point.
Anyway, many people have asked why it was called “Level Three”. We called it that because of an event that happened several years ago out west when Carrie and I were searching for petroglyphs (ancient carvings in the rock face of scenes, usually animals). We knew there is one that is highly controversial simply because it’s existence challenges the evolutionary mindset that dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago, and that no man could have ever actually seen one.
So, I had called to the national park where it’s located to ask what the best time of day would be to photograph it. Now, this petroglyph is extremely hard to find, and if you don’t know exactly where it is and where to look, you will NEVER see it. The lady who answered the phone told me that I’d have to talk with the head ranger about that. So, he called me back later in the day. After we chatted for a bit, he suddenly told me what time of day would be best, and then he said that by telling me
that, he had exceeded his authority! What?!
He proceeded to tell me that this carving is a “level three artifact”. I had never heard that term before, so he told me that a “level one” is any object in the park that anyone can see and that they as employees can talk about. A “level two” object is to be only talked about IF the person who’s asking the question already knows the object is there. However, a “level three” artifact is one that they are not allowed to acknowledge or talk about!
The reason is fairly simple to figure out. The presence of a petroglyph that seems to represent a dinosaur absolutely DOES NOT fit the standard view of when they lived. Rather than having to try to explain how it got there, it’s just easier to not have to deal with it, apparently.
So, we thought that the term could then be “repurposed” into our videos.
