4. Another fascinating aspect is the tongue. It can be propelled rapidly up to two times the length of the body. The end has a suction cup-like feel to it, and prey is quickly and easily caught in it.
5. At the other end, the tail is also unusual compared to other reptiles in that it's prehensile, which means that it can be used to grip, like another hand or foot. When not in use, it can roll up out of the way.
6. When chameleons walk, they often use a swaying gait - a back-and-forth movement that some think is used to imitate leaves blowing in the wind, helping it to be camouflaged even more.
