Hi ,
This e-mail will be very short, but given what last Sunday represents, I thought I'd share with you what I consider to be the central, or key, verses in the entire scriptures. It's Psalm 32:1-2. It simply says, "Blessed is the one whose trangressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them..."
The Bible lays out man's basic problem - sin! But it doesn't let us hanging. It informs us of the only way to be redeemed (bought back) from the penalty of sin. Without Jesus, there is NO forgiveness of sin and there is NO hope! Those who trust in Him will NEVER be put to shame or disappointed (Romans 10:11). God's forgiveness of man's sin is the central message of the scriptures.
