On a recent trip to Vermont, we noticed this amazing sight across the highway. We turned around and went back for a closer look. This is incredible!
We are told that the rock layers - called strata - built up over billions of years. This time frame is an assumption that Darwinism is based on. However, how did the strata bend at a 90-degree angle? Notice that they're all parallel to each other, even as they bend. If those layers were deposited over vast amounts of time, how did the perfect strata keep their layer-integrity as they bent? The answer is - they
can't! If this bending of the layers took place over millions or billions of years, there would simply be a pile of rocks here, because rock doesn't bend.
A much simpler and scientific answer is that the layers were all somewhat soft and clay-like when the bending took place! Notice that they all had to be water-saturated in order for them to bend like they did. The only possible answer as to what could have happened is found in Genesis 6-8. This is the account of the global flood. That event deposited most of the layers of sediment world-wide, and also produced many
dramatic events that bent and shaped the layers while they were still soft enough to be able to bend and maintain the integrity of the strata lines! Again, the Bible provides an answer to a problem facing secular scientific understanding.
