Hi ,
Look at the picture below. Does anything strike you as odd? There are antelope, wildebeest, ostrich, giraffes, and.... a lion! Notice that the animals are not running away from it. In fact, several of the wildebeest are even lying down! They don't seem too concerned. Why?
The answer lies in the general attitude of the lion. It's just walking by, uninterested. The animals know, by instinct, that the danger level is very low. Now, if the lion got into a "creeping/hunting" stance, those animals would be gone!
It's immensely interesting to note that animals of all varieties are generally unconcerned about the presence of other creatures. You can go to any waterhole and see all kinds - many kinds - of animals all there together. Zebras, elephants, baboons, deer, giraffes, etc. Even predators, like below, are often tolerated if they're "behaving".
HOWEVER, if any human simply walked into that scene, all of the animals would flee! Why is that so? If man is just a highly-evolved ape, then the animals would have no reason to take much notice. That human should simply be able to walk among them like he or she is just another animal.
But, there's the difference! We are not animals. Human are made in the image of God. Animals aren't. Furthermore, the Bible tells us specifically why animals would all flee from us and not each other. After the global flood, God put the fear of man into all the creatures. Genesis 9:2 states: "The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every bird of the heavens, upon everything
that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea".
