Hi ,
We just returned from our 4th African Wildlife Safari. We had 16 people this time. This trip is designed to truly reflect the creative aspect of God's design in nature. Nowhere else
on Earth can you see such a wide array of creatures He made!
But, the evidence of the fall and the fact that nature is "groaning" under the curse (Rom. 8:22) is also abundant. Some animals now hunt others for food. In fact, it's also what makes a safari exciting - you're often in the presence of dangerous animals, but they're dangerous now because of the curse. Originally, they
wouldn't have been so. A safari wouldn't have much appeal if the animals were all "tame". So, God gives people a double portion of enjoyment watching His nature - beauty, and excitement!
When lions kill, it's for food. Hyenas will kill, too, but they're often just scavengers, trying to steal food that has already been taken by a predator. Sometimes lions get sick of the hyenas
and will occasionally go after them, but it's rare to see it.
We came across lions that had killed, and apparently finished their meal. They were leaving the area, but the hyenas had come for their "share". So, they followed the lions, I suppose hoping for more.
In nature, you never know what's going to happen. Click on the link below to watch what took place right next to our vehicle!...
