Hi ,
Sometimes the most simple thoughts can help us focus on an issue. I thought I'd share a few of them with you today...
* If you have trouble believing that God made everything from nothing, consider that your only alternative is to believe that nothing turned itself into everything.
* The issue has never been about "religion vs. science". That's a cop-out. Creationists don't deny science; they
deny the evolutionists' interpretations of the evidence.
* We were told back in January, 2006, that "unless drastic measures to reduce greenhouse gases are taken within the next ten years, the world will reach a point of no return.” (Al Gore) We are two years beyond the "point of no return". Are you worried?
* If evolution is true, there’s neither an end nor an apex to it. We should be seeing thousands of different creatures struggling on to the next “stage” ~ whatever that is. We should be seeing creatures with half-eyes, half-antennae, half-grown lungs, partial legs, etc. But we don’t. We only see creatures fully formed, fully functional, fully operational for their
environment -- exactly what we would expect if they were created.
* Psalm 33:9 provides the best definition for creation ~ "He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm." (ESV)
Notice that it does not say, "He spoke, and it eventually came to be; He
commanded, and it went through the inefficient, painful process of evolution."
