A Sweet-Smelling Rear End!?

Remember your Creator in the days of your youth!
Hi ,
Who among us doesn't like to watch animals and their behavior in the wild?! Some, though, are difficult to watch because they're mostly active at night. The beaver is one. We all know that they are master dam builders, that they are rodents second in size only to the capybara, that their front teeth never stop growing (and they're kept from growing too long by constantly gnawing on wood). We're perhaps aware that their teeth can appear orange in color due to the enamel containing iron! We might also know that when they swim, there is a protective, transparent membrane that covers their eyes, and special flaps that close to protect their ears and noses. But, perhaps even stranger are the inner lips that close behind their incisor teeth. This is designed so that the beaver can carry sticks without getting a mouthful of water!

We might know a lot about these amazing creatures who always seem to be busy. All of these issues indicate the involvement of a master Designer!

BUT....did you know that beavers have "sweet-smelling" rear ends! That's because they produce a substance from an organ under their tail called castoreum that is used by the animals to mark their territory. BUT....it smells like vanilla! In fact, the FDA has approved it as a natural food flavoring, and it has been used to do just that in the past. It has been considered medicinal by certain people, and is also used in perfume-making. Go figure...from the butt-end of a beaver!

There's lots of other information regarding these amazingly designed creatures, and we marvel at the God who made them. But, click on the link below to see an unforgettable experience a guy had with beavers up in Canada!....
