Hi
,
We often hear about creationsists being denied access to education, jobs, academic recognition, etc. purely on the basis of their belief in creation. Since secular academia has accepted the billions-of-years evolutionary dogma, which they view as "scientific", any ideas
relating to creation are summarily dismissed as being uncientific (minimally), but normally just viewed as pure nonsense. Radicals, however, go beyond that and view creationists as people who must be silenced and their views eradicated.
It was the same in New Testament times. We read throughout those pages that there were some people who
responded positively to the Gospel, others who were indifferent, but yet others who tried to silence (most often that meant "kill") the messenger. Without exception, these were always people who were either jealous, or threatened economically or politically. Truth did not enter the picture for them. (Examples are found in numerous places in the book of Acts.)
We creationists hold tenaciously to the biblical view of origins because that's not only exactly what the Bible (which is, after all, GOD's Word) teaches, but also the only reasonable conclusion that the physical evidence (minimally) points to.
What would the purpose be for those who hold tenaciously to the evolution model?
1 - It's not supported by any observable scientific evidence.
2 - It doesn't explain the purpose (not even the definition) of life.
3 - It provides no advantage to people in the real world.
4 - It provides
absolutely no guarantees! It gains them nothing in this life (except perhaps the "license" to live any way they want), and provides no answer or hope for the future, especially when they die!
What's the point?!
Conversely, God has provided all the answers we
need, and His way provides the best possible guarantee any human could ever imagine!
