Hi
,
Over the years many of you have asked how we make our videos. What is involved? How long does it take? Where do we film?, etc.
Here are the basic
steps:
1. Research. First and foremost, we want every bit of our material to be accurate, first biblically and also otherwise. We want the information to be pertinent, useful, and even entertaining.
2. Next is script writing and storyboarding. Each video tells a story, and I try to make this as clear as possible with narration and
imagery.
3. Next comes the venue. I have to select a location that is appropriate to the topic. Some of our videos are filmed in places like South Africa, but when certain scenes must be shot here in the USA, we have to find a place that looks the part - NOT an easy task! Sometimes we have to green screen certain scenes, like below.
4. My wife, Carrie, helps with all aspects - proofreading, ideas, etc. She also hosts the filming events when held in PA and takes superb care of us, making our jobs much easier! My brother, John, is intricately involved first by the filming of the script. He knows all aspects of the process, like lighting the subjects. He will also often film extra clips here and there as fill-in, as do I. Then, he has all of the editing to do. He's pictured above operating
