Glacier Girl flies again!

Remember your Creator in the days of your youth!
Hi ,
On July 15, 1942, this Lockheed P-38 Lightning fighter plane crash landed in Greenland. It was heading to England with 7 other airplanes when they were all forced down in bad weather. Before they came down on the ice, the pilots radioed their position so that they could be rescued. Nine days later, they were found and taken to safety, but the planes all had to be abandoned on the ice. There they sat...

In 1988, just 46 years later, a team who was searching for the planes to restore them found the whole squadron. They thought they would be able to just brush the snow off the wings, fix them up, put some fuel in them and fly them away. What they found, however, baffled everyone.

The planes were all 268 feet below the ice! Scientists had always told us that it would take huge amounts of time - many thousands of years - to build up ice that thick. They were wrong. The snow had compacted and built up in less than 50 years over these planes. This P-38, named "Glacier Girl", was extracted from the ice in 1992 and restored to flying condition.

Evolutionary thinking limits people into the paradigm of gradualism. That is, things in nature take very long periods of time to change (usually millions or even billions of years). This is more evidence to the contrary. Things just aren't as old as we are told they are!
