Hi
,
Just over a week ago, my sister, Ann, and I rode our bicycles across New Jersey and back on a ride called the "MS-150". It's a fund-raiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. We try to do it each year. In fact, this year was my 20th ride! Depending on the route chosen each year, it can be between 150 - 185 miles.
Along the route, we regularly see folks with MS sitting with family members. Many of these people are in wheelchairs. They often hold signs saying a simple "thank you!".
This always serves to remind me that life and health are very precious! We don't have any guarantees on tomorrow. I'm also reminded of the fact that life is incredibly complex - we are indeed "fearfully and wonderfully made". The sin issue, though, has caused not only spriitual problems, but physical ones as well.
My challenge to myself is found at the top of this page...
What am I doing with my life that will count for eternity? Am I using what resources I have, coupled with my health, to honor my Creator? When my youth and vitality
are gone, how will I be remembered? Will I have regrets?
May we all remember our Creator, and serve Him while we can!
