Willie's watching the bug on the paper plate. The "eclipse bug". If you were in the path of yesterday's eclipse, you had a unique experience. We weren't. We got
about 75% of it and could see it getting somewhat dark. Our method of watching it was low tech - a clean, round hole punched into a paper plate that was then held up to the sun and "projected" onto another plate. We could clearly see it. Willie, our daughter's dog, watched it, too.
The thing that fascinated me the most, though, was the absolute accuracy of the predictions made years ago of the exact track. It dawned on me that those who predict this type of thing can only do so based on the history of both the observation and the consistency of
objects moving in space. With those measurements and assumptions, accuracy is assured.
It's very similar to biblical prophecies.
Every single one of the many hundreds that were made about things that are now history all came true. Every one - exactly as they were predicted! There were hundreds more that were specifically made about Jesus, and were completely fulfilled by Him. The biblical record is so astonishingly accurate that we can certainly trust the many that are still to be fulfilled!
Do you ever doubt God's Word? You needn't. It's more accurate than anything else ever observed or studied in history!
