Hi , While the Grand Canyon will always remain one of the most sought-after sights in
the US southwest, there are other places that are almost as awe-inspiring. The slot canyons are among them! These are deep cracks in the sandstones that appeared as the plateau lifted up. Since that time, the walls have hardened, and as you walk through these cracks (4-10 ft. wide, but over 100 ft. deep), the colors and swirls in the rocks above you will make your jaw drop!
