Many people have undertaken the task of trying to prove that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. This is, after all, absolutely crucial to the doctrine of Christianity because without that fact, the whole issue fails! The fact that Jesus rose from the dead
indicates that the Father accepted His full and final sacrifice! If He did not rise from the dead, we have been deceived and our faith is based on nothing. We have no hope.
The Bible itself provides many instances of Christ appearing after His resurrection. And, while we would have no reason to doubt these accounts, non-Christians could
simply say that those accounts were fabricated by believers who simply lied about it to get their point across.
People have written about the numerous reasons why these accounts are trustworthy, and kicked apologetics into high gear showing that the disciples would never have lied over issues like this. Personally, however, I still think
that the best evidence of all came from secular people --- people who did not believe the message Christ preached while He was alive. I'm referring to the Roman guards at Jesus' tomb!
