For those of you who don’t know this information yet, Dr. Walter Brown passed into the arms of Jesus just over a week ago. This not only leaves an earthly hole in the life of his family members and friends, but also a significant hole in the world of biblical
science.
Dr. Brown made a major impact in our lives and the life of our ministry when I read an early version of his book, “In the Beginning“ around 1994. We became familiar with the hydroplate theory at that time, but it wasn’t until years later that I had the actual privilege of meeting him. At that time we were making the first version of our video on the global flood, and he agreed to appear on camera explaining the hydroplate theory. We were
incredibly honored! From that point on, he became not only a science mentor, but also a friend! Many were the times we talked on the phone at length.
He helped us again by making adjustments and modifications to the script I had written for another large video production of ours, one on the formation of the Grand Canyon. This video pulled from Dr. Brown’s work almost exclusively. And, it was the
release of this video in 2010 that led to the start of our “Southwest Safari” later that same year. In 2017, we were again incredibly privileged to have him and his wife, Peggy, along with us on this trip! Many people, including scientists, came on the trip that year because of his presence. It was a little bit like having Albert Einstein along with us!
