The Bible and secular historians and scientists present two completely different views on the history of the world. The biblical worldview holds no "climate worries", but the secular view does.
The basic beliefs of the secular view are: - The earth is billions of years old.
- The climate functioned quite well until the industrialized world of the last decades started ruining it. Basically, humans are causing a disaster.
- Legislation is required to stop this, or force change that will "save the planet".
- These issues
cause worry, and in certain cases, panic.
So, it would be interesting to note that, over the decades, people tend to forget what they've been told regarding predictions of atmospheric disasters. Let's take a brief tour down "Panic Lane".... - How many people will remember that in the 60s, wild claims were made about oil being depleted in a decade or two?
- Or, how about this one? In the late 60s and well through the 70s, dire predictions were made about the next ice age which was soon to descend on
humanity?!
- As we progressed into the 80s, acid rain became the cry. Crops would soon be gone!
- The 80s and the 90s saw widespread panic over the ozone hole! It was growing, and doom was surely to
follow!
- Then, global warming became the new fear factor. It began in the 80s, and by the late 90s and into the new century, it was firmly entrenched as the new reason to fear the future. Politicians like Bernie Sanders and Al Gore made outrageous and errant statements about the minimal time the world had left before unbelievable climate-related
disasters begin to overtake humanity.
None of these came true. And how many of the news networks and politicians have been held accountable for these errors? Turn to the Word of God. Understand its claims
and predictions - and the solutions! - and you'll be so much better informed! |
