This, on the other hand, is Willie. Our daughter, Laura, bought him years ago and trained him as a therapy dog. Like most dogs, he's a great member in the "man's best friend" category. He likes to play, be patted, go for walks, and most everything else a dog
does. He likes a variety of food. Sweet. Salty. It doesn't matter, but some foods are favorites. He responds to moods, looks completely humbled and/or embarrassed when he's scolded, cries with excitement when his people come home, displays a dog's typical variety of emotions and abilities, etc.
Then there are cats, which I think must fall
somewhere in-between, perhaps closer to the spider! -- No emotion, except perhaps disdain. Not much fun. Just sit there all day. Not much brain activity, apparently....)😂
This is all so amazing to me to think about. God made so many creatures with such a variety of abilities and functions. But, we as
humans, are the only ones made in His image, and therefore have a phenomenal opportunity to know Him personally! We have been given minds to reason and to think things through, to understand God's Word, and to love Him, and to obey, to experience blessing, to pray to Him. The list goes on and on.
What an incredible, varied, and enjoyable life
we've been given by our Creator!
