Do you recognize this person and this statement? This is Richard Dawkins, famous for his total opposition to the existence of God (especially the God of the Bible) and his adherence to evolution beyond all reason. The statement made here has been used by many people over the years to supposedly prove the viability of
evolution. Note that this is done by comparing it to the surety of gravity. However, there are a few important things to remember - things he doesn't take into account...
1. Gravity is a specific property of physics. Evolution is a very generalized theory of origins. He is comparing
apples with oranges.
2. Gravity can be tested, and is tested, every day by virtually everyone, over and over. It never fails. It can be predicted. Evolution fails in this category even by Dawkins' own statement: "Evolution has been observed. It's just that it's never been observed while it's happening". Say WHAT?!
3. Gravity is a useful tool in many ways. Evolution serves no purpose at all since it cannot possibly have a cause, produces nothing, and cannot be predicted. It is useful only to those who seek an escape from the realities of original design and its implications of a designer.
