But, check this out! The peregrine falcon has a small cone built into the opening of its nostrils. This cone will accomplish the same effect as the cones found in supersonic jet engines! Here's
basically how it works ~
When a powerful jet engine pushes an aircraft forward at supersonic speeds, air entering the intake will be flowing at supersonic speeds, too, and the engine cannot maintain its proper fuel burn. So, the air must be slowed down to subsonic speeds so the engine can actually function properly. The cone accomplishes
this.
It's similar in the peregrine falcon. The air pressure caused when it dives so fast can actually injure its lungs, so the small cone at the nostrils accomplishes a similar effect as the jet engine ~ it reduces the air pressure into the lungs, thereby protecting them!
Now, there are too many impossibilities if a person wants to believe that all of these features randomly evolved. First, it must be remembered that mutations are RANDOM, and undirected by the environment. Second, how could this bird have then mutated to perfection all of the necessary components and equipment to make a steep, fast dive safe and successful, while other birds that don't need these features don't have
them?
That doesn't make any sense at all! Original design does!
