We have often been asked if we have seen the Ark Encounter presented by Answers in Genesis at Williamstown, KY. People have wanted to know what we think.

We have seen it, and have some definitive thoughts about it. To help clarify our perspective, I will present this week what we feel are the strong points, and in the next weeks, some other issues. It is well worth a visit. Plan to spend some time, too!

OK, first, some good points:

1. The facility is easy to find, and conveniently located right off of Exit 154 of I-75.

2. This is a top-notch facility! Everything is done with the utmost of professionalism!

3. The flood is the issue, and much care is given to explain the many facets and evidences of the event in a reasonable way. The core message is biblical truth!

4. There is more than just the ark. There is a zoo and other facilities to present the message to all generations.

5. The gospel, the most important message a person can take away from this event, is clearly presented in many places and various ways, as depicted in this photo. This is definitely an outreach to those who need to understand the gospel and to those with questions about the voracity of global flood.

6. In this age of many Christians caving and compromising on so many aspects of true history as presented in the Bible - especially the first chapters of Genesis - it is very good to see the numbers of people visiting this facility which neither compromises nor dilutes the Word of God!

We would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area. It is certainly an enoyable and worth-while experience.

However, there are issues to be aware of if you visit. Some of the exhibits are questionable as to their accuracy. Next time, I will cover some areas of concern...
