Our family keeps growing. I remember when it was just lonely me, dreaming of a girl like Carrie. Then, God gave me Carrie! We married in 1985. Luke was born four months before we left for South Africa as missionaries the following year. Upon our return, and during our years of seeking God for what He wanted us to do with our lives, He blessed us with two more - John in 1989, and Laura in 1991. The following
year they were all married! At least, that's what it seemed like. Where in the world did the time go?! Then, before we knew it, grandkids came along. Now we're up to seven (with one more in the oven!) So, for those of you who ask about this, let me give you an update. These pictures are placed according to family size... Luke and Anastasiya are on the top. Luke owns Baum's Tax Service (which he and a friend bought from Carrie's parents), and the business has grown a lot. Anastasiya is a stay-at-home mom. Mila is now 2 years
old. Laura and Caleb are up to two children now - Henry, who is 2, and Allison, who is 1. Caleb works for an excavating company, but owns his own equipment and is building a business on the side. Laura is also a stay-at-home mom. John and Jessica have the largest family. Trent is 9, Max is 5, Todd is 3, and Claire is 10 months. John drives a truck for Ace Hardware, and is also a sergeant in the army. Jessica is also a stay-at-home mom. All of the women are very active in multiple pursuits that include hobbies, skills, church activities, etc. All of our kids love the Lord and are very active in their churches. Nothing gives us more joy that to know that our children "walk with God". |
