Hi ,
We've all heard the term by now ~ "Climate Denier". Wait... Climate denier? On the face of it, it's rather funny..... like, "I deny that there's such a thing as climate!"
However, it's a term that is now used to label those who don't buy into the idea of "man-made global warming". If you don't believe that the earth is rapidly warming up due to the irresponsibility of mankind (especially Americans) over the last several decades, you're a "climate denier". It's a little akin to being
labeled a "science denier" if you believe in creation.
So, is the earth warming up? Possibly. Is the climate changing? Probably. Is mankind to blame? No.....and, yes. Let me explain...
First, it's important to realize that the earth is constantly changing, and has been since the global flood. Weather patterns have always been cyclical. So, yes....the climate is changing. Few would "deny" that.
However, we can neither cause it nor change it - at least, nowhere near what is claimed.
Is it warming up? Nobody really knows, but if it is, it's happening very slowly and has everything
to do with the world-wide damage caused by the global flood. This damage goes beyond climate change and includes issues like earthquakes and volcanic activity.
Is man causing it in
the ways that are being claimed? Of course not. There's not much that we can do to influence this magnitude of change. However, the Bible teaches us that the global flood was indeed a judgement brought about by man's sin, so in a way, we did cause it, if indeed it's happening at all.
So, enjoy your car, your air conditioning, and your camp fires! Leave the worry about global warming to the "truth deniers".
