However, the devil does everything he can to cause a society to depart from this norm. Just as in the beginning, when the devil said to Eve, "Did God really say...?", so he says to our modern world, "Is the Bible really
true? Isn't it rather archaic? Can't you really do what you want to do?....".
Then the devil hit Eve with a downright lie, rather than just a question that challenged God. He said to Eve, "You will not surely die!..." even though God had said they would! So the devil continues to blatantly lie to our culture. When God says in His
word, "This is sin!", the devil says, "No it's not!
So it's a two-pronged attack. First, create doubt in God's Word, question the moral standard, question your conscience, and question laws based on the Bible, etc. Then, come right out and attack people. Tell them that God's word is a lie. Tell them that they can do what they
want.
This is the society that we live in now, but not that different from Bible times, actually! The question is, how will we as Christians respond? Do we succumb? Do we give in to the temptations? Do we bend to fit society? Do we bend God's Word to fit our weaknesses and the culture around us?
No. There is a simple way. There's a Godly way. And a way that's been proven over time! Continued.....
