Hi ,
In the words of an old King Crimson song...
"I'm on the outside, looking inside. What do I see?
Much confusion, disillusion all around me".
These words seem to fit my mind as I look at what
humans do. It seems that the further we humans stray from God and the truth, the weirder things become, the more confused and disillusioned people are. Romans 1:21 alludes to this, calling their thinking futile. We humans love to delude ourselves, fabricating our own truths that give us a thrill, or that please us in some way. To illustrate this, consider the image I've placed here. It's a picture of a sculpture done by Italian artist, Salvatore Garau. It sold for $18,000! I put a box around the
image. Can you see it? Neither can I. That's because it doesn't exist! In his own words, the artist said, "The sculpture I installed... is titled Buddha in Contemplation. You don’t see it but it exists: it is made of air and spirit...."
OK, let that sink in for a second. As strange as it is to think that someone believes this is somehow true, consider the mindset of the person who bought it! They
even got a certificate of authenticity! We've entered Bizzaroland! But, if you think that's bad, it gets even more strange!...
Tom Miller, an artist who lives in Florida, is threatening to sue Salvatore, claiming he came up with the idea first, that the Italian artist stole the idea from him, and he wasn't given credit for it! His
lawyer said that they are getting ready to file if they are not able to work out an amicable solution. He stated, "We think that it is clear that Mr. Miller created his work before Mr. Garau, and we know that Mr. Garau was aware of the work. Mr. Miller clearly deserves to have his work recognized and to enjoy all of the rights and benefits that such recognition brings".
You can't make this stuff up! Look at the terms used ~ work, art, recognition, rights, benefits, sculpture, etc., and all of that over...NOTHING! These guys are literally haggling over nothing. They've created nothing. They did no work. They acknowledge that their "work" can't be seen, and yet one is suing another over it???
Now, look around you. At creation. It DOES exist! It's fascinating! It's amazing, even to evolutionists! If it wasn't, there would be no David Attenborough nature programs that thrill everyone!
But, evolution has indeed stolen the idea. No credit is given to the real artist. Design is clear, but the true Designer is not recognized.
He is with me, though! How about you?
