Now, consider for a moment that these things look REAL! They look like creatures that were just beheaded and their heads put on display! The artist, pictured here, is brilliant at his craft.
But, remember - it's art! And a considerable amount of artistic license is used to come up with these final renditions since they're based on skulls, and fragments of skulls, like those below!
Remember, too, that Darwin's book included the following statement in the subtitle: "...The Preservation of Favored Races in the Struggle for Life". So, evolution at its inception promoted a great deal of racism, something that's still evident in the models, above (the most evolved creature is white)!
Altogether, there might be enough fragments of fossilized bones to fill a coffin or two, yet this incredibly scant "evidence" is used to create exhibits that promote Darwin's idea. And, since the final renditions are so realistic, they're probably also very successful at convincing the average person who has no idea that they're based on wild speculation and fables!
Dr. Greg Kirby said: "... if you were to spend your life picking up bones and little fragments of head and little fragments of jaw, there's a very strong desire there to exaggerate the importance of those fragments..."
Lord Solly Zuckerman said: "Students of fossil primates have not been distinguished for caution..... The record is so astonishing that it is legitimate to ask whether much science is yet to be found in this field at all."
