Hi ,
This is a letter I knew I'd be sending out one day, but I never thought it would be this soon! My brother, John, passed into the arms of our Lord last night, Monday, May 9.
So many of you have been praying for him, and for us by extension, since you all know how much he did for our ministry. For that, we are deeply grateful! Thank you!
As you know, we just finished filming, on April 16, our latest video in Glendive, Montana. (The picture here is of him filming a scene in the museum. His camera rig is on a dolly we built for the project.) He was weak, and took breaks as needed, but we were able to finish everything we had planned to do. He was excited to start the editing process. Just last week, he told me that he had already downloaded all of the
files and had started!
Last Tuesday, Carrie and I drove to a convention in TN where I was speaking. During that time, we were texting back and forth on various issues. On Saturday, he suddenly took a turn for the worse. He couldn't walk without help, and needed oxygen. The medical people that came to his house told his daughter, Tiffany, that he can no longer live alone, so they moved him that very night into their home. All during our
drive home on Sunday, we were in contact with Tiffany regarding his condition. He had become totally unresponsive.
To the difficulty we feel personally, having lost my brother, we as a ministry are going to have to completely rely on the Lord for His provision regarding current and future video projects. There are four videos currently in the works in his files. Carrie and I are flying down to Houston tomorrow not only to try to be an encouragement to his two daughters, but to find all of the footage and files we'll need. Also, he
had equipment he had wanted us to have, so we hope to bring or ship that back when we return.
We will now have to figure out the filming and editing processes on our own. As you know, he did a phenomenal job and he will be hard to replace. I will personally be doing this until, and if, someone else with his skills and perspective can be found.
We're very grateful for your continued prayers!...
