Hi ,
A question I am often asked is this: Why are human fossil bones so rare compared to animals?
The answer probably lies in the ability of humans to reason. We are the only creatures that God made that know the properties of water. Therefore, in a scenario like the global flood, we would know to escape upward, to climb mountains, to climb trees, to lash logs together to make floating mats, or to do anything we can to stay above the water. Many animals would not know to do this. They would simply not
have the intelligence to know what's going on, and so therefore would not be able to escape drowning, and the fossilization process that followed.
So, back to humans. The ones that have been discovered, like the Calaveras skull in California, and the Castenedolo skeletons of Italy, initially are a shock to evolutionists. The presence of human fossils in rock that is supposed to be many millions of years older than humans is, in their opinion, utterly impossible. Their worldview has locked them into a cage that only tolerates one interpretation of world history -
long ages of evolution. So they have to respond in one of two ways: 1) First, just ignore the evidence and hope it goes away, or 2) claim that the human fossils must have been placed there intrusively. That means...on purpose! Like, maybe a creationist trying to meddle in the affairs of "science".
When evolutionist Sir Arthur Keith, the famous anatomist, faced the evidence of the Castenedolo skeletons, he said: "As the student of prehistoric man reads and studies the records of the Castenedolo find, a feeling of incredulity rises within him. He cannot reject the discovery as false without doing an injury to his sense of truth, and he cannot accept it as a fact without shattering his accepted
beliefs."
So, what did he conclude? His "accepted beliefs" held sway! But, that shouldn't be a big surprise, at least not for him, because he's also famous for making this statement: "Evolution is unproved and unprovable. We believe it only because the only alternative is special creation, and that is unthinkable!"
There's objectivity for you!
