Hi ,
This isn't just a Jeep. This is an answer to a prayer that was never prayed!
As you know, my brother, John, and I just spent the better part of two weeks in Glendive, MT, filming my dinosaur program. (An update on John, below.)
Prayers for these kinds of trips usually revolve around safety, creativity, etc. However, the following illustrates that, as His children, God even knows what we need BEFORE we even know we need it!
First, I was scheduled to meet John at Denver, and we were going to fly together up to Billings. His flight from Houston was delayed due to a cracked windshield. As time went on, the delay became longer, and I realized that John would never make the connection. However, the plane to Billings was somehow also delayed, so there was hope he would make it after all. Then the delay from Houston was extended, but
then, so also was the flight to Billings! After a while, it became apparent that the aircraft used from Houston WAS the one going to Billings! That's why it, too, was constantly being posted as more delayed! COOL! An answer to a prayer I never thought to ask.
Then, upon arriving at the car rental facility at Billings airport, the Corolla I had rented wasn't available, so they offered a Jeep instead. Sure, why not? We left for Glendive as the winds grew stronger. This was going to be a 3-hour+ trip. The winds became incredibly stronger, and then came a shock! Truck after truck was blown over along the freeway! The gusts hit 80 MPH!
Two days later, on what turned out to be the ONLY day we could have done this, we went to a dinosaur dig to film certain scenes. I had thought it was a place that would be very close. It wasn't. The owner of the land then asked me if I had a 4WD vehicle. I did.... now! We never would have been able to get to the site without it!

Then came the storm you all heard about! Record-breaking snows in Montana for three days, coupled with high winds and temps near zero. 500 miles of I-94 were closed, which was unprecedented! Drifts as high as 25 feet were recorded just to
our east! On Tuesday evening, when we left the museum in which we were filming, we got stuck in a drift. Enter the 4WD transmission, and we got right out of it! Then on Friday, the day we left, the freeway opened, but reports of closures, snow, and ice persisted. The 4WD gave me confidence, so we left and got to Billings in time for our return flights!
I rented a sedan, but God cancelled that and gave us what He knew we needed!

PS - While we were filming, John was very weak and took
frequent breaks. I had asked him twice if we should call it off and go home. He wanted to continue. We had the time, so he took every break he needed. We were actually able to complete the whole program, plus a portion of another.
Yesterday (Monday) he had his next doctor appointment. Both he and his daughter, Tiffany, wrote and told me that the doctor told them that his cancer is progressing, and if this chemo doesn't work, he only has 3-6 months left.
If God answers prayers about issues that I don't even know about, then He obviously has some answer in mind to our prayers for John. Thanks for remembering him before the throne!
PPS - My nephew, John, in Minnesota, was finally released from the hospital last week where he's been since just before Thanksgiving, 2021, due to the Chinese virus! However, another difficulty with a lung arose, and he's back in the hospital again, hopefully for not long. Please pray that this new situation will correct itself.
